Welcome to Begindergarten!
Hi! My name is Tara Moreno. I have been with the Escanaba school district for the past five years. I spent my first 2 years teaching Kindergarten and now get the pleasure of teaching Begindergarten and Kindergarten, and I love what I do everyday! I feel so lucky to be teaching at the Webster Kindergarten Center and embarking on another great school year! Our community is incredibly supportive, the staff here is amazing and most of all, the students are eager to learn. It is a wonderful place to be!
I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education, majoring in Early Childhood Development with minors in Reading and Integrated Science. I learned so much from the classes I took. I finished my Masters in Reading this past year from Northern Michigan University. I have a passion for learning new things and teaching your little ones.
Besides teaching, I love to travel, go camping and explore different hikes and scenery around the U.P. I have a strong passion for reading and spent most of my summer enjoying the weather while reading.
My husband and I have a busy 3 year old daughter who lives for the park and swimming. We also have a 3 1/2 year old chocolate lab named Finley and an older cat named Slippers.

My classroom is structured and engaging while leaving ample time for exploration and creativity. We have plenty of time to read, write, and blossom into responsible citizens. My classroom will be full of enthusiasm, and we will learn from each other everyday.
